Hi David... apologies for my late response. Win2K acting up again
aRGH!
Anyways...
In TB!, open the ACCOUNT PROPERTIES for the Web2Pop (ie: Hotmail)
account you wish to edit. Then click on TRANSPORT.
In SMTP, put: your ISPs SMTP
In RECEIVE MAIL/MAIL SERVER, put: Web2Pop
In USER, put: <YourID>@hotmail.com (without the < > thingys)
If you wish, put your password. Some people like to be prompted for it
but I have mine in there.
Whenever editing a Web2Pop account in TB!, in TRANSPORT, you *MUST* use
"Web2Pop" as the POP3 and your full email addy as USER.
Keep in mind you need to check their homepage frequently for updated
modules. Hotmail has revamped their system and I know that Web2Pop has
the updated module on the website which enables W2P to access it.
That could also be a reason for your problems checking Hotmail...or
any other webbased email via TB! & W2P.
Once you have edited the W2P account's Properties, and have updated the
modules; closed and restarted both TB! and W2P, it should work fine.
:)
Regards,
