Hi Alan,

On 18 August 2000 at 01:42:25 GMT -0400 (which was 06:42 where I
live) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote and made these points on the subject
of "read messages filter":

AC> I'm trying to create a filter that will set a messages colour
AC> group to a specified colour if it is older than 4 days old.

AC> I created a filter under "Read Messages" and select for the rule
AC> to be manual only. Under "Actions" i selected 'Set message colour
AC> group to' and chose my colour group, then under "Advanced" i
AC> selected 'Message is older than' and entered 4. I also entered a
AC> hotkey shortcut under "Options".

AC> The problem I'm having is that every message i run this filter on
AC> gets highlighted by the chosen colour group, whether or not it
AC> meets the criteria or not, any ideas on what i am doing wrong?

Under "Options" did you also elect to "Check the message against the
rule"? The downside of doing this is that this will activate the "Move
to folder" aspect of the rule.
