That position doesn't add up. Yes, it is not necessarily a good
implementation decision to use registry instead of CFG/INI files to
hold configuration data and that is an often stated criticism. It is
also a criticism I completely agree with. That doesn't mean that a
whole raft of problems awaits "under the hood".
It is a just few second's work to dump the TB registry key (there's
only one structure) with an "Export" command from within regedit or
even to set up a batch file to do it. It is even less work to execute
the .reg file to re-instate the settings on another system.

Sure it will:
