More often than not, IMHO, you'll even be able to send the mail to the
original  SMTP  server for the ISP you are not currently connected to.
If  it  doesn't  work  at  first, that's a good sign, because your ISP
should  not  provide an open relay with his SMTP server. But he should
also  do  "POP  before SMTP" authentication, meaning if you check your
mail  on that ISP's account once, the sending works fine after that. I
don't change my ISP every day, but I still have to find one where this
doesn't work.
