You could keep a copy of the Account.srx file with the mailbox file
and when you want to re-import the messages into a new account
overwrite the Account.srx of that account with the preserved copy.
That doesn't bring back the former folder structure but at least gives
you the opportunity to build a new one using the old filtering system.
