I think I figured out one quirk:
HDS> 2) The # of messages that scroll by is less than the total # of
HDS> messages it says should scroll by. And then it gets stuck as
HDS> described in 1). I keep looking for these extra messages, and I
HDS> haven't found them; as far as I can tell, all the email that
HDS> should scroll by is, even if the Ticker can't count properly.
I *think* that what's happening is that the number of new incoming
messages is added to the number of previously received unread messages
that are filtered in folders *under* my Inbox. strange...
