May I add that the time(s) this happened to me, it was usually a
result of a stupid combination of _renaming_ and _moving_folders
within TB's tree. The exact details of these unpleasant events escape
me now but I think the main thing I tried to remember to never do
again was moving main folders into subfolder position or the other way
round - it was after that kind of thing that I got these phantom
folders which went down to zero content after left clicking them, much
like you describe. Did you do anything of that sort?

[ After trying out stuff at that time, I managed to find all lost
messages' text back, but their structure, headers etc. were gone, I
could only reimport them as several huge files and they don't seem to
be reconvertable. ]
