To which Paula Ford had kindly reponded:

>> On the Menu bar, Options|Show Dial-up Monitor|Automatically. Under the
>> Queue tab, click on the action, press Delete button.

Which I dismissed first (as a complete solution to my problem). But in
rethinking it, I have found the following - and I'm not too ashamed to
bother all of you a third time with this stuff, but this time I'm
really gonna keep it short -:

Paula was indeed right: editing the queue _before actually dialling
up_ is possible and can be reached through the very Menu item she
mentions above. The problem with the settings in this Options tab is,
however, that they are very unintuitive and seem to interact with what
you are doing within the " Dial-up " window. I'll not bother wou with
my descriptions of that, but what I find difficult in usage is that
the only option to edit the queue is going into Options|Show Dial-up
Monitor and setting it to " Show Always " (!). It will then show (and
show the actual queue waiting to be edited) - exactly what I was
looking for thus! - BUT O BAT, BUT, whatever I do subsequently to move
this window out of sight (e.g. after having edited the queue; either
by clicking " Hide " or x - closing the window), the setting " Show
Always " will _not_ be saved or remain. ( " Hide "-click in the
Dial-up window will thus be adopted within those settings, which is
what I mentioned and disliked as interaction before. )

What is then the meaning of " Always ", after all.
