Just a quik note...
The ctrl/alt/shift/L saved TB! today from deletion/reinstallation
hehehe. Last night I was too tired
to investigate the reasons WHY TB! kept crashing with an "access
violation error" each time I tried to open it. Today, however, I
started TB! and quickly clicked on the program window, thereby placing
the error window in the background so I could investigate without TB!
auto-closing after hitting "ok" on the error window.
Turns out two of my accounts were "locked"! Now, mind you, I didn't
"lock" them...but I DO have a 3yr old (well, almost 3) who likes to
"play" with the computer when Mommy isn't looking. hehehe So it's very
likely she hit something at some point to lock them, yesterday.
At any rate, I looked in "help" and everywhere I could think of, & then
it hit me to look in my TBUDL-mail archives. I figured I would give
the ctrl/alt/shift/L a try and voila! All my emails are there. They
appeared as "?" instead of showing the actual #'s at first, but after
clicking on the folders the #'s and the emails themselves did appear.
The reason for me writing this is because I have noticed an influx of
new users, and I thought that this would help them either now or in
the future. That's not to say that EVERY "access violation" error
anyone gets is because of this reason, but it could be.
*shrug* Anyways, I just thought this information would be beneficial.
Thanks Rit for a great program and for having a forum such as this. I
would've been bald by now from frustration & confusion had it not been
for this list. Another good reason for the Ctrl/Alt/Shift/L to be on
the FAQ (if it isn't there already...I've been ill and haven't checked
as of late...)?
