Unfortunately yes. I had assigned that combo to an action which was
supposed to assign a msg to a certain color group & then move it to
another folder. The msg in question disappeared seemingly off the
face of the earth until I did an account wide search & found it.
Unfortunately TB! doesn't seem to provide property-like info when it
finds something so I don't know where it ended up.
Which brings me to another question: What's the practical difference
if you use or don't use the option to "check the selected message
against this rule"?

I tend to agree with you as I'm not much of a keyboard fanatic
either -- too much to remember. But what gets me is I'm not sure
what the rhyme or reason is for some of the assignments.
