I believe that I have now tried all reasonable possibilities. The only
thing that works for me is "Ctrl+*" on the numerical pad, but since
this is quite tedious (I am using a laptop and have to activate
alternative key-functions) and it does not give me the opportunity to
*close* all threads - which is actually what I wanted - I will stick
to turning thread view on an off (which seems to be the only possible
way to close all threads).

Is the shortcut-list on Marck's site not such a combo?
