I'm confused. I'm running 1.48f and I have to click on the message before
the attachment flag appears. Did you mean it shows the flag in the current
version, or it doesn't?

That's not what's happening in my case. I'm talking only about JPEG
attachments. In some cases, I get the tabs, and when I click on those tabs,
the image appears in the message area. In other cases, no tabs appear. When
I then look at the attachment list (i.e. they appear down the left hand side
of the message preview area), and then double click on one of them, the
image appears in a separate window (an internal viewer). I hope I haven't
confused you even more :)

I can't work out any sort of pattern to this - sometimes I get tabs and
sometimes I don't, but in both cases they are standard JPEG images, and in
both cases TB knows how to view them.
