If I'm not mistaken, TB!'s spell checker has 3 settings, with the 3rd being
the most comprehensive, but also taking the longest time. Perhaps you have
inadvertently chosen door #3. ;o)

Yes, that behaviour has been around for a long long time, and remains an
unresolved issue with TB!'s spell checker.
