Hello Craig, Thanks for your note.

On Friday, January 26, 2001 07:49:17 [ -0500 GMT], you wrote the
following in regards to 'TB! v1.49 - GMX mail servers':

Craig> [...] I can offer you my settings for GMX. [...] have chosen
Craig> GMX's most secure SMTP setting and applied it at their site. In
Craig> my GMX properties SMTP authentication dialog box I chose "perform
Craig> SMTP authentication (RFC 2554)", then "use specific settings",
Craig> then put my user ID number given to me by GMX when I signed up in
Craig> the "Username" spot, followed by my password in the "Password"
Craig> spot. That's all that is checked on that page. GMX's SMTP server
Craig> is mail.gmx.net - pop server is pop.gmx.net [...]

  My own settings looked something like this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]
password= ******
Cust # *******

POP3 = pop.gmx.co.uk
SMTP = mail.gmx.co.uk

Authentication = RFC 2554

  I changed all the settings to reflect yours w/o result. I remember
  reading something when I signed on to GMX about US subscribers doing
  something different but I can't find/remember the instruction. I'm
  beginning to think that this has something to do with the problem.

  But, then, I can't SMTP from Yahoo! either.
