I think part of the point here is that the subject column DOES
expand, shifting everything over to the right. This IMHO is very
odd behaviour. If I set the subject column at a certain width,
it is because that is the width I wanted it. Early on in this
thread, this seemed to be what John was referring to... but I
think that was lost in the shuffle.
