I'm running W2k Pro (SP-1), and using NJStar Communicator 2.23(NT). I can
read messages perfectly, but the only way to see what's in the subject line
is to drag the cursor over the 'mojibake' (screen-garbage in Japanese).
Then I can read it, but there is no way I've found to read it in the
message list window. Messages decode flawlessly, however, like they used
to do several versions ago in Pegasus. But since 3.0, Pegasus is a no go
if you need DBCS support. Problem with getting a lot of Pegasus users over
to TB!, however, is that a lot of Pegasus users are used to free. <g>
One solution would probably be to set the default language for the system
to Japanese. But I have some other applications that require English, and
setting the system to Japanese breaks some aspects of those apps. (So I'm
forced to use an English system, probably for as long as I can see, because
of some legacy stuff. All I need is a mailer that can handle Asian
languages without a problem. Outlook doesn't quite cut it, regardless of
what MS says. If TB! comes through, I've found a home . . .
I'm surprised you can read the subject lines in the message list window.
What FEP are *you* using? ^_^
