My pleasure - anything to help :-).

Just that they offer SMTP support on port 26 as well as on port 25. To
me that seems unusual. It might not be. I run my own SMTP *and* POP3
server in-house - despite the dial-up status. I can achieve this
because I do have un-metered access and can stomach the retries. I
like to run my own servers because I like to know the fate of my
outbound messages and I do have my own domain to take care of.
MDP>> Okay - there's a terminological mistake in this para ...
K> My mistake yes POP3 not POP, type lazyness :(
The mistake I was referring to was the blurring of the line between
incoming and outgoing protocols. You were inferring that you were
using POP for outgoing mail. I described the protocols to make it
clear that SMTP was for outbound and POP for inbound. I wasn't worried
about the missing '3' - it's a valid shorthand.
