Hello TBUDL!

It has repeatedly been said that macros like %SingleRe, when put at
the beginning of a template, create a blank line at the beginning of
the reply.

This is not true. The new line is created not by the macro, but
because people key in:

%SingleRe<cr/lf>
%OFromName said:

The cr/lf pair creates the blank line. It will literally be put in
your reply, as you have instructed TB to do so. If you use:

%SingleRe%OFromName said:

then no new line will be shown at the top. However, we prefer to start
our replies with "Hello...". The following will not work:

%SingleReHello%OFromName

because TB will try to use a macro %SingleReHello, which does not
exist. If you put just a blank in between:

%SingleRe Hello%OFromName

it works, but the blank will be shown of course (but the word "Hello"
will still be in the top line).

So it is still a good idea to put the macro %SingleRe at the end of
the template.

Point of this exercise? - Purely academic. ;-)
