Here in Spain DSL are implemented in two ways:

Via Internal DSL modem (abandoned): Windows must be configured using a
permanent RAS.

Via  3Com  or  Efficient  Router: Windows must be configured to access
internet over Ethernet.

On  both cases, TB! runs well by seting manual or permanent conection,
but *not* by seting RAS.
