Well, a less feature rich application means a less complex interface. Less
options to have to choose from. It's not as simple as simply not using
them.

Take the editor for instance. I love it while others don't. There are a
lot of options there that make it more flexible in ways that other
integrated e-mail editors are not. It's not unusual to see a member
writing for advice on how to make the editors select/overwrite
functionality or tab indentation work like the typical editor out there.
There's no doubt that options increase complexity. Right click on a
message and look at that menu. I'm used to it so I take it for granted.
Say you wish to make a little signature ... you have to delve into
templates.

Quite. Though I fully understand and am sympathetic to the problems of the
user asking for a lite version, I'm not too much of a fan of a lite
version because there are other e-mail solutions out there that would fit
the needs of the user in need of a lite version. I'm not speaking about
Outlook (Express) either. It's really up to Ritlabs' and what their
intentions are with regards to where they wish to go. It would appear that
they are aiming at the userbase with high demands. The new connection
center and the other flavours of TB! available are some of the things that
support this assumption.
