That is not necessary. You don't need a macro at all.

Put the word with which you want to address the person ("Sehr geehrter
Herr ", "Estimado Amigo ", "Mon cher "...) into the Memo field of the
address book entry. And in your template, just call:

%ABMemo %ABFirstName

and all will be fine.
