Since upgrading to v1.52f, I see heavy CPU usage and poor Windows response
whenever I send a message, receive a message, open a message, or delete a
message.
I tried sending a message to myself, with a CPU monitor (wintop) running in a
corner. Hitting F5 for a new message caused no problems, but when I clicked
Send to send the message, my PC responded very poorly until the message was
sent. I do not ever make the Connection Centre visible normally, but for
testing I made it visible and could see that for as long as the CC was busy,
my PC was sluggish to the point of being unusable. Simply moving my mouse
across the screen was impossible, since it would stop and start and not
respond until the message finished being sent.
Similarly when I received the message, the same thing happened. Even while
writing this message, my computer has stopped response to keyboard input and
mouse input several times already because of incoming messages. I disabled the
mail ticker, and the problem persists, so it isn't just the mail ticker. This
also seems related to the time the CC is active.
