First: do you think it's possible for future NOT to put your question
into the subject, referring to it in your mail text? THX in advance.

Second: TB! would be the first e-mail-client loading new message FROM
the SMTP server :-) If you'd like to know how it compares the
message-bases of your computer and the POP3-Server: this is done by
the UIDs. Every message on the POP-toaster has a UID and TB! can (like
any other POP3-enabled mail-program) get a stat of the UIDs of the
stored messages and than compare with the local message-base to decide
witch messages it needs to fetch.

An example for such UID list is:

[CONNECT to POP3-Server ...]
user username
+Ok
pass test
+OK
UIDL
+OK
1 987583775.21558.quarter.zone35.local
2 987584770.21810.quarter.zone35.local
3 987592426.23303.quarter.zone35.local
4 987610934.31540.quarter.zone35.local
5 987610935.31549.quarter.zone35.local
6 987611576.31678.quarter.zone35.local
.
.
.
quit
+OK
[END CONNECT]

This means:
message #1 has UID "987583775.21558.quarter.zone35.local"
message #2 has UID "987584770.21810.quarter.zone35.local"
and so on ...

S> Thank you

No problem ...
