Yes, it's doable provided the client of the person sending the response
supports providing reference headers. Since TB! does this, I enjoy doing a
similar thing in that I colour code replies to my messages.
The way to do it is this is to have the filter rule look for and examine
the 'In-Reply-To:' header field, looking for messages with your e-mail
addresses domain. Of course, a pitfall here is that if you're a member of
a discussion list, for example TBUDL, and someone else using an e-mail
address with the same domain as your e-mail address gets a reply to one of
his messages. His message reply will also trigger your filter. So if you have
a unique domain name (like me <g>) then you're in business. However, if
you have a commonly used domain name then creating this filter may produce
'false alarms'.
The following filter should be one of the first in your filter list. In so
doing, all messages are checked by it.
Source: Inbox
Destination Folder: Inbox
String: ^in-reply-to.+@vpop\.net>$
Location: Kludges
Presence: Yes
Action: Play Sound (make your configuration changes as needed)
Options: Continue Processing with other filters (enable)
Regular Expression (enable)

The only way to select all messages in threaded mode is to fully expand
the threads. So you should do the following on the message list:
Hit Ctrl-*, then Ctrl-A, then Ctrl-M.
