I'm using threading by Reference in all groups in which messages
thread properly (Is it just me or does "Internet Mail Service" mailer
remove references from messages?). I'm mostly using keyboard for
navigating, and those + signs open nicely when you press right arrow.
BTW: check the "How to download old..." thread in References mode :)
