When reading new mail in a list threaded by reference, you have to use the
'move to next unread message' keys. It will drill down into the threads
and subthreads to find the unread messages automatically. If you manually
expand the threads to find the unread ones then you'll have a massive
headache in no time. :-)

The recently implemented back browse shortcuts also help to navigate to
previously read messages in the session.
