Once you get used to it, you'll find it better than anything else
(maybe the only editor which compares to The Bat's is that from FAR
with some plugins :)

AFAIK, you have to do it manually. Go to the paragraph, and press
Alt+L. Editor in The Bat! is WYSIWG - meaning that e-mail will be sent
in exactly the same form you see it in editor. Auto-format
(Utilities->Auto Format) may help you a little.

Many actually like to be able to place the cursor anywhere and start
typing.

Why?

I don't really understand, what you are talking here about...

Ctrl+Left (jump to next unread msg) and Ctrl+Right (jump to prev
unread)

If thread contains unread messages, and you use Ctrl+Left/Right, it
will expand automatically.
You can open whole thread at once by pressing Ctrl++ (Ctrl+Plus)
