My brother witnessed the whole scene from his office window on Wall
Street. We (my family in the UK) were all very concerned, waiting to
hear from him, that he was okay (which he is, thank God).
That's on the personal level.
On the human level - I can only express shock, horror, revulsion at
the loss of innocent life on such a scale and sympathy with anyone who
has been hurt or has lost someone close to them in this appalling
tragedy.
However aggrieved anyone may feel politically, this is a human tragedy
of catastrophic proportions. As has been said, the celebrations of the
Palestinians as seen on TV are distasteful and I have to say that I
don't want to see anything but respect for the loss of human life here
on these lists.
Thank you for your comments to date. Let us pray to the powers-that-be
for sanity to come to our world. Soon.
