Hi Brian,

On 27 October 2001 at 12:50:09 [GMT-0400] (which was 17:50 where I
live) Brian Clark wrote to TB!UDL and made these points:

MDP>> I talking about HTML Forms which use the Action="POST" method for

BC> Don't you mean method="POST"?

Yes :-). It's not a method I like, so please forgive my inaccuracy.

MDP>> via email rather than collected by cgi-bin or server side
MDP>> scripting.

BC> Do you mean with action="mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]";?

Hmm. I think so. Let me look at the source ... yes:

FORM ACTION="mailto:..."; ENCTYPE="Text/Plain" METHOD=POST

MDP>> When clicking sent on POST style forms (using IE5), the POST is
Sorry - typo - ^^^^ "Send" .. the "Send" or "Submit" button.

MDP>> handled by TB and sent immediately. *However*, the connection

MDP>> nothing to send requiring an "Abort task" to get rid of it.

BC> I have no idea what you're talking about here.. I've never seen an
BC> HTML form produce a message in TB! *and* make it immediately send.

Try a form with the above action/ENCTYP/Method - a message is
generated for the default mail client to transmit. Honest!

BC> What are you trying to do?

Not me, truly. The problem is the phantom task on my friends system
having sent the form response message okay.
