The new computer has arrived, and I have successfully transferred The
Bat! and all my other software.

What I actually did was export the registry keys to my Bat email
folder (on D:), move the D: drive to the new computer, install The
Bat! on the new computer, import the registry keys, and restore the
user preferences and address books from backup. It all worked
perfectly.

OT: I like Windows XP, although I wouldn't buy an upgrade for an old
computer. The GUI is rather slow in some things (I haven't yet had
time to look into tweaking it), but I like the basic design and the
new Start menu.

                   was the same as NT.
