I didn't mean that technically but legally. Admittedly my machine
would be at the lower end of MS's technical requirements. But they not
just discourage the use of XP on a 95 machine. You have to buy a
completely new XP.

98 and ME are not excluded, so it is not a technological question but
pure marketing. That fits. A few days ago I wanted to install IE 6
over my 5.5, as I've heard that it is faster and more stable. Guess
what, Win95 is not supported anymore.
