Hello Lionel,

Absolutely correct! And where is the point I need SSH support in TB!?
The question was for SSH support within TB! so my problem was: how
should TB! itself tunnel the connection itself establishes ... that's
_really much_ overhead to implement for this small amount of usage
(how many people do you know being able to POP their mailbox this way
[in % of total known e-mailing people]?).

OTOH:
If he's already using an external SSH tool he could setup this and
point his TB! to the local port as you suggested, but that way TB!
would not need any SSH support. You see my problem with understanding
the question?

And there my next problem is: a small ISP would have POP & Shell (e.g.
for WebSpace) maybe located on one machine so this is a secure way.
A big one will have at least and minimum two machines for this two
very different things (just for security reasons). So my security
introduced by a SSH secured line shrinks.
With this conditions as background I'd prefer the (planned to come)
SSL support within TB! over SSH as chances are higher to meet a SSL
supporting POP3/IMAP toaster :)
