Let's imagine I trust my provider (have no reason yet for not doing this) ... I'm dialed in (or connected via a permanent connection) to my provider, therefore I'm still in it's local network. No additional reason for using SSL or SSH _if_ I trust this network. But imagine a mail hoster like GMX: they would _never_ grant you SSH access so you're quit :-) All in all we're walking straight off topic, I'd suggest stopping here:-) We asserted TB! has no SSH support and I believe RIT can not effort the time implementing rudimentary (Open)SSH functions as they have to fix 1.54/Beta, plan to implement SSL and several other things, but maybe one day even this functionality is given :-) -- Best Regards Peter Palmreuther mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (The Bat! v1.54/10e on Windows NT 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 2) I love it when I'm sick. I get to catch up on my late mail! -- ________________________________________________________ Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Vers: 1.53d FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com
