No, only the master-account will check mail. So, the admin will check the mailbox, download all messages, which will get filtered into the individual accounts. When each user opens their account with their password, they can read and reply to the messages (or compose new ones). In their templates, there will be the %Account= macro, which puts the outgoing mail into the admin's Outbox. After everybody has finished, the admin connects again and sends all mails out, and receives all new incoming at the same time. I believe you have fixed times, like connecting manually about every 2 hours or so, correct? TT> How is TB's configuration stored? In the registry, or in files? Part in the reg, part in files. I believe you should be able to set up three accounts: admin (main account, with POP/SMTP data; this one connects), and two accounts for just the users. It's easy: Account / New .. follow the prompts. The second step is to create the filters for the incoming mails. This will be in the admin account under Account / Sorting Office. click on New... and see whether this makes sense to you. You want to filter any incoming mail with the string "user1" in the field Recipient to the Invbox of his account. Then, you want to create Outgoing filters; any message sent with sender field containing "user1" should be filtered to the Inbox (or Sent box) of the user1 account. Third, you need to set up New Message and Reply Templates in the user accounts. Let us know when you are ready, we'll help you develop them. It is really not difficult, and I am glad if this happens on-list, because some lurker or another might be interested as well. TT> Is it possible to copy (backup) a complete TB configuration and TT> restore it to another computer (in case of HW failuer).? Yes. I backup regularly, but I don't use the internal function. I just had a HD crash and did not lose a single mail. TT> Should I buy SecureBat to allow privacy to my users, or will this TT> be ensured in this setup? This is up to you. I wouldn't think your users discuss their financials via a radio link-up, so I wouldn't think there is sensitive data. TT> Thanks a lot for all the tips I get, this is a great list! You are the ones who are doing the great job out there in West Africa. We just try to assist you in whichever little way we can. ;-) -- Cheers, Thomas. Moderator der deutschen The Bat!
