Hi Hendrik,

I tried that, but there are problems in that over half the contact
records became corrupted and/or split over two to four physical
records with no apparent logic to what appeared in the fields.

FWIW, I suspect that this is because some records have copious notes
that include quotations and commas -- and that's enough to throw the
translation into disarray. I also tried tab delimiting, but had
similar problems with that route.
