Exactly my point. I agree with this 100%.

Same here. Though some may actually think otherwise (I can't figure
why). :-)

This is one of the reasons why I keep autoformat off. It would be more
useful if I could work between both modes and being able to easily
tell which mode is enabled. I found myself heading to the menus to see
if auto-format was ticked or not.
