This is available in 1.53 too.
Select a folder to move, hold <Alt> and drag the folder to it's
destination. To make it a subfolder of an existing one do not only
hold <Alt> pressed, but additionally <Ctrl> (so it will be
<Ctrl>+<Alt> you hold pressed while dragging, until the folder is
dropped to it's final destination)
