As you mention in your message, this might not be the best place for a blow-by-blow comparison, but certainly trying it is the best way to get a feel for what it can and can't do. Like all software, it's not perfect, but it's earned a place on my "best of" list, and as I mentioned, I use it as my default mailer. I'm an e-mail client junkie, and I have to say, it seems like combining the best of The Bat, PocoMail, and Mozilla's mail client, would make a heck of an e-mail program. I've been evaluating the betas of PocoMail as well, and I believe Slaven's close to releasing 2.51, which includes a ton of fixes and tweaks to 2.5. It includes the ability to view mail on the server, as well as run rules/filters on mail still on the server. It supports in-line HTML, but allows you the option of retrieving the "online content" (if that makes sense). Also, like The Bat, it uses no IE components, and supports multiple accounts, sigs, and taglines. It's also skinnable, and includes a fairly full featured scripting functionality. Anyway, give it a look. I want to say, like you, I am a registered user of The Bat, and as I said, I really do think it's among the very best apps out there. But, being the fanatic that I am, I also use PocoMail, Becky, and Mozilla mail. Maybe the problem is too *many* choices! :) Regards, Mark -- e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- ________________________________________________________ Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Vers: 1.53d FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com
