I have a QT that I use, when I remember, that lists the attachments if
there are any. If there are no attachments, nothing is entered. The
syntax is way beyond my capabilities, so I must have gotten it here on
the list or in the help file. It works well, when, as I say, I
remember to use it.

I would like to have something along the same lines as part of a new
message template. When there are no attachments, there will be
nothing added; when there are attachments, they will be listed. It's
just a device to make the QT approach more automatic.

I tried to add the precise language of the QT to my new message
template. It didn't work. Nothing at all happened, whether there was
an attachment or not.

Why didn't the language work, i.e., the same command that appears in
the QT but added instead to the new message template? How, if at all,
can I accomplish my intended result?
