The majority of people can read it and access it well. The problem is
the use of DOM JavaScripting to allow drill-down navigation of the
issues. DOM is fully and properly implemented by Internet Explorer
(90% of all hits on the FAQ are from IE users) and Mozilla (only 2% of
hits). The "others" are using Opera (some can access it, some can't,
depending on configuration and version in use), NetScape (who have
really made a bit of a mess of DOM) and others, too small a percentage
to worry about and some of who can read and some of whom can't read
it.

The fact is, there's a flat version of the FAQ models within the
downloaded page. It is the penchant of folks to turn on switches that
"fake" the browser type, fooling the page into thinking the browser is
compatible when it isn't and that's where people really can't read it.
If the browser wasn't bluffing, the plain-text version would be
displayed.

If the percentages were different, I'd be extremely concerned, but
they're not.

When I have more time, I may switch over to a single Java browsable
large model (much better for searching and correlating) with a
plain-table version for the Opera (and other) die-hards.

I still stick doggedly to the NCSA mosaic derived Internet Explorer.
Not everything MicroSoft produce is bad technology. IE is the one
thing that I have always thought to be one of their better pieces and
remains so. What sucks is the way its tendrils spread through the
system. But, there's no need to let it and I just use it as a browser.
Works great for me.
