I can only offer information here in the way of a control, i.e., what
*does* work on my system.  I send PDF files often with TB!, and the
recipients, who usually have MS Outlook, have no trouble opening them.
I just sent myself a PDF attachment from one account to the other and
opened it from within the recipient TB! account, and it worked fine.
They were created with an Adobe Acrobat 3.0 Writer (printer driver)
and are being read in an Adobe Acrobat 5.0 Reader.

Try upgrading your Reader, and see if you still have a problem.
