Oh  well,  the  older I get, the dumber I also get. D_nm it! The problem
was  (no  more,  no  less)  that  my  PGP keys contained a comment field
included  -  "private"  -  which  caused it to become confused. Thus, by
manually  typing  the text "(private)" into the correct ID in the "Enter
ID  and  password"-box  presented in The Bat, I got it signed just fine.

Thanks for your great help, Marck, by pointing me in the right direction
(ID match).
