I just made myself a big mess in this regard. For background I have two separate TB! installations, because one is related to a PIM I use. I have been doing the beta cycle with the normal bat, although also doing the beta for the PIM and the bat version for it. Tonight, I decided to try to straighten out my folders and make the switch to the PIM version. I have tried synching the two databases before, and ended up with mountains of duplicate mail, and was dissatisfied with the result.
I thought I'd try uninstalling the PIM version, and starting over by importing my mail folder from the regular bat. Well, that didn't work because although I chose the correct one to uninstall in the program manager, that isn't the version which got uninstalled. My next try was to replace the mail sub-directory in the PIM version with the mail sub-directory from regular bat. Here is the problem I had then with the filters: destinations which were in an account were preserved. Common folder definitions in first level common folders, such as \\\Trash (thankfully) were preserved. Destinations in sub-mail folders were not. If filtering to '\\\mailbox', it was fine. If destination was '\\\mailbox\submailbox' however, the destination was lost and the destination was listed as 'inbox - unknown' (the introduction of inbox - unknown' is another issue but I'll just eat that complaint at least for now) But, it seems to me that the failure to preserve the destinations in the lower level folders is a bug. -- Dwight A.
