Hello Julius,

Tuesday, April 30, 2002, 8:36:13 PM, you digitally penned the following:

JS> Hi there, List members ,

JS> I signed-on and purchased my entry to the bat! about 2 weeks ago.
JS> I was expecting a reasonable new alternative to OE.

I purposefully searched for a different email client to get
away from OE or MS Outlook 2000 of which I had both
installed on my system (still do) but I was extremely
dis-satisifed with the security problems, lock-ups, and
misc. other problems of these MS email clients. So I
thought.. I will try Netscape Mail as a alternative right?
Wrong... Bad choice... So I searched the internet... and
some how I came across a link to Ritlabs/ The Bat!
I read the info. Was impressed primarily by the security (
immunity) of TB! to certain types of virus and that it does
not use the windows address book. Added to that was the
macros and templates and so many other features so I
downloaded the trial. I admit there is a learning curve to
using TB! to its fullest potential and I am still learning.
BUT I am here on this list because I want to be, not because
I have to be. I enjoy the list, I am learning I believe, at
a much faster pace because of it. AND I do believe that we
get a much better response from the moderators, developers,
programmers of TB! than one could ever expect from MS corp.
or BG himself. Sure there were some questions on the list
about the various versions. I think TB! settled those when
they posted "h" as the official version on the main site.
The SMIME bug complaint shows up on some systems and not on
others. Seems to have a lot to do with other software that
is running and installed most likely Norton AV. But at any
rate. I am content with TB! and will not be seeking my money
back... And after all the money I have shelled out to MS for
OS upgrades and various programs a measely $35.00 US is
nothing. I for one believe the program is well worth the
money. Thanks TB! Staff and moderators.
