Another way to handle it, is to use the great clipboard editor that comes with GPGshell(www.jumaros.de/rsoft/), or the free mdiNotepad Text Editor: (koti.mbnet.fi/~fidgety/index.html) with some form of PGP. Both break lines with one click. The GPGshell clipboard, can also add the "> " line prefix and the "On Sunday, May 12, 2000, you wrote:" message prefix.
