That's easy, too. Autowrap automatically inserts a line break when
your typing reaches the end of a line. This means that you don't need
to press Return until you need a new paragraph.

However,  autowrap  leaves  the right-hand edge of the text ragged (or
ranged  left)  by  default.  The previous paragraph in this message is
formatted  that  way.  Justify on Autowrap fully justifies the text so
that the right-hand edge of each line aligns on the right margin. This
paragraph  is  justified.  In  a word-processor, the software normally
adjusts  the  inter-character  spacing  to get the required alignment.
This is known as kerning adjustment. However, in plain text, you can't
do  that. So, TB adjusts the number of spaces between words to get the
right-hand edges of the text to align. The result can sometimes be the
double-spacing you noticed.

To see the difference, type a fairly long paragraph, then format it
alternately with Alt+L then Alt+J.
