Yes, this is right. Autowrap doesn't do anything to pasted material.

Yes. Autowrap will wrap manually entered text. If you wish for it not
to wrap then you have to toggle off autowrap.

On testing, yes, this would appear to be the case.

I sent a few messages to myself where I inserted trailing spaces and
they were all stripped. Funnily though, when I insert a trailing space
after two dashes as with the delimiter, the space is preserved!
