I have a folder which has disappeared. It is a subfolder, equal in
hierarchy to several other subfolders. The parent and all subfolders,
including the "disappearing" one, can be seen in the folder tree. The
disappearing folder has messages in its message base, and they can be
read and attachments can be extracted. But while the parent and the
other subsfolders can all be seen in Windows Explorer, the
disappearing folder cannot. When I search for "messages.tbb," all
other locations come up except for this one. Windows Explorer shows
no other possible location for it, e.g., the program directory or
default MAIL directory. In the past, it has been visible, because I
have taken its message base into Mailbag Assistant and saved it
elsewhere from there.

No damage has been done, because I created a new folder and copied the
messages there, and the new folder and messages are visible to the
system. But I'm a little concerned about what could have caused the
problem. It's not likely that I made that one folder "hidden" to
Windows, but I cannot think of any other possibilities. (And it's too
late now to check, since I've deleted the devil folder.) Any ideas or
similar experiences?
