John, You don't really have to, other than in some circumstances. I use Lotus Organizer, which has a number of rich features, including a flexible address book that links well with a number of other features in the PIM. On the other hand, I also subscribe to Marck's view that having an email list in TB! is helpful. So, I maintain the Lotus Organizer address book primarily, which also involves importing into it some changing contact information from an Approach database. Then I periodically export that AB into vCard format, and from TB! import the vCard file into the TB! AB. Is it more of a pain than I would like? Yes. But it is also only necessary every month or two, and it gives me everything I need, with possibly one exception. Lotus Org can have group lists which do not seem to come across as TB! groups, so if you maintain TB! groups some additional messing around is necessary. But, again, it's more trouble than I'd like but it's the best approach I've found to having my cake and eating it, too. -- JN ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.60q FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Bug Reports: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/
