I was having problems with mailto: clicks (in IE 6) spawning a mad rush of e-mail and error windows (50 or 60 at a time) rather than a single "compose message" window in TB!, even though I had TB! designated as the default mail handler in IE, as Mark describes here. After reading some of the discussion on this topic, I went back to the Internet Options screen, designated something else as the default mail handler, clicked "Apply," then designated TB! again and clicked "Apply." Voila. That worked. I don't know why, but redoing what I had already done solved the problem.
